Spanish Programs
Our Spanish program uses a combination of immersion teaching methods centered on the communicative approach.
The Latin American Spanish Institute’s main objective is to enable students, like you, to really communicate in the language and to practice it. Programs have been designed for students of all levels and with different needs.
We offer you:
- Courses for beginners.
- Courses for Intermediate levels.
- Courses for Advanced levels.
- Spanish Clubs where you can directly interact with high school students and participate in every activity they organize.
- Private tutoring.
Teaching staff formed by professionals with university training in teaching Spanish as a second language.
Our class size is limited to four students (4). This allows a personalized attention from our professors as well as very active and interactive classes.
The programs are designed with different time periods of 2, 4, 6 or 8 weeks. The two week beginner program is a course that teaches you the basics of Spanish language. The 4, 6, and 8 week programs are complete courses according to the specific needs of the students, always using a method that emphasizes conversation.
From Monday through Friday, 4 hours a day from 8 a.m. to noon and from 1:30 to 5:30 pm, all year long. We can also offer you dance classes, access to internet services, airport pick up and return, experienced professors, cultural and recreational enrichment activities, bilingual office staff, and participation in the high school activities and celebrations.
Students can also choose other activities like horse and bicycle rides, weekend tours to beaches, rain forests, national parks and volcanoes at moderate prices.
We have teaching experience in elementary school and high school. We will be more than happy to share this experience with you.
This will be an unforgettable language learning vacation.
We have developed our own grammar books, workbooks and additional materials that will be used as reinforcements to what is being taught in class. All of the previous will be included in the price of tuition.

Spanish courses start every Monday
We do not offer classes on national holidays in Costa Rica. There are no refunds for these days. The school is closed on January 1, April 11, Easter Thursday and Friday, May 1, July 25, August 15, September 15, October 12 and December 25.

The student must fill out the application form.
The application fee will be initially a 10% non–refundable deposit of the total cost of the course; we will provide instructions for its payment via
