Cultural & Sports Activities

We offer a wide selection of activities, all conducted in Spanish (the majority involve no extra charge).

Below we offer you some examples of the activities we have planned for you:

FUTBOL 5 and FUTBOL 11 (soccer)

INTERCAMBIOS:

During these cultural exchanges Spanish students meet with students and staff from Saint Nicholas of Flüe High School to practice conversation skills.

DANCE CLASSES:

Once a week you have the opportunity to participate in classes where you will learn the most popular dances of Costa Rica.

MONTHLY ACTIVITIES CALENDAR:

We have planned a new activity for you each month .They include national holiday activities, and a variety of fun excursions which are accompanied by a school teacher or staff member and in which we encourage you to participate so as to promote social interaction with the locals.

For some of the more important national holidays we have prepared educational performances relevant to the occasion which you will enjoy and where you will interact with our high school students.

COSTA RICAN COOKING CLASS:

Once a week we teach students how to prepare typical Costa Rican dishes. .We also give you the possibility to teach us how to cook your own typical dishes.

EXCURSIONS:

On weekends we will take you on excursions to many different parts of the country: We offer you different possibilities so you can choose according to your own interests.

OUR SCHEDULE IS THE FOLLOWING

• 08:00 a.m. - 10:00 a.m. Class Time
• 10:00 a.m. - 10:20 a.m. Coffee Break
• 10:20 a.m. - 12:00 p.m. Class Time

Spanish courses start every Monday

We do not offer classes on national holidays in Costa Rica. There are no refunds for these days. The school is closed on January 1, April 11, Easter Thursday and Friday, May 1, July 25, August 15, September 15, October 12 and December 25.
